I was pleasantly surprised when these large green tomatoes starting showing up. I kept waiting for them to ripen (turn red) then realized they were ripening/green. The taste was great. I took some to church (dozen) and got great raves the next week. There were some who did not believe they were ripe as green, I just chuckled as I listen to them plan how to make them red (still chuckling two weeks later).
