First introduced to the seed trade in 1856 from a cross made by Nathaniel Newman Stowell in New Jersey from a cross between from Menomony Soft and Northern Sugar. Still the best white open-pollinated corn variety for home gardeners. Ears grow 8-10″ long and have 14-30 straight rows of kernels. Best eaten right after harvesting.
